Question: Please suggest the benefits of centralized cutting for different production units.

OCS’s Answer:

Major benefits of the centralized cutting room are as follows.

1. Less investment in cutting machinery

2. Better space and manpower utilization. In other factories/production units, you can utilize cutting area by adding more lines.

3. If someone has an auto spreader and auto cutting machine (CAM), then automatic machines must be utilized fully. Centralized cutting room helps you to meet that goal.

4. Less transportation between fabric warehouse to cutting department (if you have centralized fabric store in the same unit).

5. Better controlling of fabric usage, cutting quality and easy for cut planning.

6. A centralized cutting room can be synchronized with a centralized CAD system and Pattern making department
