Parts numbering is a critical process in garment manufacturing for various reasons.
Two common methods used for parts numbering are –
(1) Sticking stickers manually by using a sticker numbering machine
(2) Stamping the number directly in the parts (with contrast color)
Experts keep working on finding better options for speed up the parts numbering process, reduce the cost of this process and automation of the numbering process. Here is one such example of automation of small garment component numbering.
In this video, the stamping of the part number is done automatically. Looking into the machine design and space, this machine can be used for small parts only.
